Details: Jumping the gun here, since the museum isn't going to open until 2011, but it will feature an 1880s era chocolate factory filled with period machinery, where visitors will be able to watch and smell chocolate being made, and participate in tastings. Watch this space!

Unlimited Delicious Diner Cursus

Details: Unlimited Delicious sells chocolate, candy and pastries. For groups of 12+ (advanced reservations required) they will prepare a complete chocolate-themed meal, including chocolate soup, chocolate pasta and other dishes.

Details: The Chocolaterie Van Dam offer group chocolate-making workshops on Saturdays under the watchful eye of Mr Van Dam, chocolatier. Workshops require a minimum of 10 participants (or the equivalent of 10 people's fees if fewer people wish to participate) and accommodate a maximum of 18. Advance reservations required.

Gemeentemuseum Weesp

Location: Weesp

Type of experience: Porcelain and chocolate museum
Details: The main focus of the museum is 18th century Dutch porcelain. However, given Weesp's historic association with the Van Houten cocoa and chocolate factory, which was situated there until 1971, the museum also plays host to the Van Houten collection, which includes old advertising material, Van Houten tins and other chocolate-related exhibits.

Nederlands BakkerijMuseum

Type of experience: bakery museum
Details: While officially a bakery museum, the Nederlands BakkerijMuseum also features extensive exhibitions about the well-known Droste chocolate manufacturer, including historic artefacts and advertising. Various bread-making activities are also organised.

The Chocolate Bar
