Details: A chance to watch batches of butter caramels being poured, cut and hand-wrapped; in the "chocolate room", visitors can see various candies being coated with chocolate, and later they can watch them being inspected and packed into gift boxes.

Details: Tours begin with a video presentation, followed by a guided tour of the DeBrand chocolate kitchens. Visitors can watch artisan chocolates being hand-made, learn more about the chocolate-making process, and try some samples. The tour ends in the factory store. Public tours are held most Tuesdays, and private tours can be scheduled in advance for groups of 12 or more. The factory can also accommodate larger convention and corporate tour groups by prior arrangement, and private chocolate parties can also be arranged.

Details: The Indiana State Museum is hosting a special exhibition called "Chocolate: The Exhibition", which will run until January 4, 2009. The museum explores the history of chocolate, and the relationship between human culture and chocolate. Various chocolate-themed events will be held during the exhibition's run (see website for full details).

Details: Visitors have the opportunity to watch the South Bend Chocolate factory in operation, try some tasty treats, and to visit the chocolate museum with its collection of rare chocolate molds, antique tins and boxes, and other memorabilia. Tours by prior appointment.
